JOB TITLE:  Metal Fabrication Estimator/Sales

SUPERVISOR: General Manager


Our Estimator is responsible for quoting customers custom metal fabrication jobs by review of documentation, blueprints and creating shop plans and determining the cost of the material, labor, tooling, outside sourcing among other costs. This person positively collaborates with customers, engineers, suppliers and coworkers to get the job done.



  • Quotes & fulfills customer orders ensuring quick turnaround, high quality and profitability
  • Monitors bids, job costing, & production to constantly improve accuracy & efficiency
  • Handle any company documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Continually supports/develops customer relationships
  • Performs site visits as necessary
  • Support all departments as needed
  • Works well independently or as a team



  • Estimating/Project Management Experience (3 years min)
  • Blueprint Reading (3 years min)
  • Knowledge of Structural Steel & Fabrication Equipment
  • AutoCAD and Other Computer Proficiency
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards for general industry




  • Excellent time management/math/written/verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, be accountable and versatile
  • Respectfully, professionally and ethically represent the company at all times
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and rules and to promote safety standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods
