JOB TITLE:  Maintenance Mechanic

SUPERVISOR: Maintenance Manager

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for keeping all equipment & facilities operational.  This includes but is not limited to heavy equipment repairs, building improvements, hot work, groundskeeping, fleet maintenance etc. 

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES: 

  • Responsible for assisting with any maintenance projects around facility.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Maintains equipment and work area in order to safely perform duties.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Facility improvements including painting and cleaning
  • Must adhere to Company policies and rules and to promote safety standards
  • Professionally represent company at all times.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must have ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods.
  • Must be able to tolerate work environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and work around/on moving equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate in a clear organized manner.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with hydraulic troubleshooting & repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot down equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.

 

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with basic metalworking. Welding, cutting, grinding etc. 
  • Experience working with heavy industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read machine schematics, parts lists, and blueprints.

JOB TITLE:               Public Scales Operator

SUPERVISOR:         Non-Ferrous Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Public Scale Operator Role assist customers in grading of recyclable material, imputing material in software using scales, and sorting material in the Metals Recycling division.  This role interacts daily with leadership, employees, customers, and vendors supporting a culture of Safety, Service, and Positivity.   

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES: 

  • Understand and follow all company policies/safety rules & participates in the safety culture.
  • Identifies, inspects, and sorts all customer material to be purchased.
  • Enters all material being purchased on scales into operational software.
  • Assist in unloading customer vehicles.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers.
  • Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Learns and assist with enforcement of all restricted/regulated materials.
  • Model the company’s core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent time management/math/written/verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Willing to work in an outdoor industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards for general industry.
  • Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in heavy industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Experience working with scales and computers.
  • OSHA 10.
  • Forklift Experience.

JOB TITLE:               Truck Scales Operator

SUPERVISOR:         Non-Ferrous Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Truck Scales Operator Role assist in grading of recyclable material, imputing scale tickets in software using scales, dispatching drivers, and directing traffic in to correct location in the Metals Recycling division.  This role interacts daily with leadership, employees, customers, and vendors supporting a culture of Safety, Service, and Positivity.   

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES: 

  • Understand and follow all company policies/safety rules & participates in the safety culture.
  • Identifies, inspects, inputs, dispatches, and directs all activity that moves across truck scales.
  • Answers customer phone calls and assist with organizing fleet.
  • Enters all material being purchased on scales into operational software.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers.
  • Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Learns and assist with enforcement of all restricted regulated materials.
  • Model the company’s core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
